"The 2007 Pinot Noir Estate spent 10 months in 25% new French oak.
Medium ruby-colored, it delivers a fragrant bouquet of spice box,
smoke, cherry, and cranberry. Substantial on the palate but slightly
austere, this medium-long effort will drink well over the next 5-7
years.
Alloro Vineyard’s first vintage was 2002. They
currently produce 1800-2000 cases entirely from their estate vineyard
planted in 1999. The wines are all bottled without fining or filtration."

The Wine Advocate, #185, October 2009
"The 2007
vintage was more challenging due to a cool fall with sun breaks and
rainy periods that tested the nerves of the most experienced vintners.
Experienced wine making paid off. Good vineyard management including
pulling leaves to allow air and sunlight in the canopy, managing crop
loads, and good picking decisions that allowed the fruit to reach full
maturity, made for a very successful vintage. The 2007 Estate Pinot Noir
is a blend of four estate grown pinot noir clones. Strawberry and
cherry fruit with hints of smoke, spice and fine tannin. The subtle
complexity and elegance of this wine are a perfect match for duck
confiet or grilled salmon."
