Anam Cara, Pinot Noir - Reserve, Chehalem Mountains 2006 "The 2006 Pinot Noir Reserve reveals smoke, toast, mocha, and earth notes. Supple, medium- to full-bodied, and with some structure, the wine has plenty of sweet fruit on the mid-palate but is slightly compressed in the finish. Drink it over the next 6 years.

Nick and Sheila Nicholas purchased their property and began planting a vineyard in 2001. There are now 28 acres in production with another 15 acres to go. Their first vintage was in 2004 and their first vintage of Pinot Noir was 2006 in which a total of 1600 cases were produced, all from estate-grown fruit. Considering the youth of the Anam Cara vines, the future appears to be bright for this family-owned winery."
