Copy of Sineann, Block One 2007 The grapes for Sineann's 2007 Block One Cabernet Sauvignon come from Champoux Vineyards, 60 miles east of the Dalles on the Washington side of the Columbia River. Paul Champoux took over the famous Mercer Ranch Vineyards and continues to improve it. Block One is the oldest block in the vineyard and one of the oldest Cab vineyards in Washington. Year in and year out, Block One puts out some of the best fruit we see. The most compelling quality the fruit has is a depth of fruit not seen in many other Cabernets. Like Pinot Noir off a great vineyard, Block One expresses its soils, with remarkably consistent berry, tar and cedar qualities in each vintage. While a bit closed at this time, the wine will have a long, beautiful life. It finds most expression now in its long, deep, complex finish. Patient aging will be well rewarded.

This is one of the great vintages.
